Michael Blackson, aka “The African King of Comedy,” is more than just an American comedy favorite, he’s a global stand-up phenomenon. Born in Ghana, Blackson cut his teeth in Philadelphia’s comedy scene before landing a scene-stealing, breakout role in Ice Cube’s hit film “Next Friday.” Blackson has been on a roll ever since, racking up appearances on BET’s “Comic View,” “Shaquille O’Neal Presents: All-Star Comedy Jam,” and “The Mo’Nique Show.” Most recently Blackson made several appearances on the new seasons of “Wild ‘N Out” and “Hip Hop Squares.”

Due to capacity restrictions and recommendations by local authorities and in the interest of social distancing, we will be selling tables rather than individual tickets to our events. At this time, customers will not be sharing tables with anyone other than their party. Tables are maxed out at 4 people per table. In the event more than four people are attending a show together as a group, you will be separated into multiple tables and these tables will maintain social distancing rules.
Each table comes with the corresponding number of tickets:
2 person = 2 tickets | 4 person = 4 tickets
Customers are expected to take necessary precautions to protect themselves and others. Per the CDC and local governments, we request all customers enter the facility wearing a face covering or mask. When customers are seated, they are permitted to remove such covering.
Management reserves the right to prevent customers from entering the facility who they deem disruptive or dangerous to other patrons.
This show is 18+. Please note, there is a 2 item per person minimum in the showroom. Tickets will be available for pick up at the box office 45 minutes prior to the show.

Inspired by the stand up comedy of Eddie Murphy, Blackson began to develop his comedic talent in 1992 in the unkind comedy clubs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Blackson’s comedic appeal grew from his involvement with BET’s ComicView series, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, Showtime at Harlem, and Live in Hollywood. However, it was in a Los Angeles comedy club where Blackson got his big break. Blackson was performing at the Comedy Store where actor/director Ice Cube was in attendance to see comedian Mike Epps perform. But after experiencing Blackson’s performance, Ice Cube invited the young comic for a reading…and the rest is smash hit history! Blackson’s outstanding and unforgettable performance in the smash hit comedy, Next Friday, drew praise and a fan following like no other.
After his scene stealing performance in Next Friday, fans wanted more, and in 2005, Blackson would not disappoint. He released his top-selling sketch comedy CD entitled, Modasucka, Welcome to America. With Blackson, the work never stops. Along with special guest appearances on some of the hottest music videos, Blackson stole the stage on P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy on HBO and starred in a commercial for the Chappelle's Show on Comedy Central. There’s no mistaking Blackson for any other comedian when he takes the stage.
